No-go London

The crusade against cars has reached a new high just when you thought the anti-car anarchists had driven us to complete despair.

The £25 charge in London for 4x4 marks yet another money grabbing initiative which will do little to curb congestion or save the environment. The moron and his merry men at the GLA should have the balls to say that they want to siphon motorists of yet more cash and not use lame excuses that insult our intelligence.

London is increasingly becoming a no-go area for those who don’t live there. Speed cameras, road humps, controls at box junctions, over zealous wardens and clampers without an ounce conscience are all adding to the pain of driving into the capital.

Public transport is overcrowded and unpleasant. With more and more people looking to squeeze into already overcrowded buses and trains, the options for getting to and around the capitol are running out fast.

Livingstone has ruined this city and the prospects don’t look too promising at the forthcoming Mayoral elections in May. Londoner’s options are limited. On the one had, you have Boris ‘the Buffoon’ Johnson who cannot be taken seriously to run a city like London yet he seems the only one with anything resembling a vision, one who has some understanding of the needs of business and workers and who isn’t hell-bent of taxing people out of the city. The alternative to ‘Con Ken’ is Brian Paddick, the Liberal who will pose a bigger threat with his stance on the motorists, environment, business and taxes.

God help London!
